News from Alateen!!
Alateen is looking for volunteers who are willing to sponsor Alateen meetings in the Santa Barbara area. Requirements include a minimum of two years in Al-anon with ongoing attendance at meetings, and a willingness to break your anonymity for a background check. Tuesday Night at Daniel Bryant

The attendance is good, we usually have 2-5 teens there I would say on average.
We have a lot of teens that are coming regularly. I feel like most come for at least a couple months, then they kinda drop off, and we get a new group.
I would like to try and get better on calling the teens to check in with them. It would be nice to get some of the teens that used to come back.
I feel like all the feedback from teens/parents is always positive....they are always happy that they came. I feel like they always say they got something out of the meeting.
Future projects would be to read up more on different ideas for the leader. I feel like some of our stuff is getting old. I want to try and do that. Maybe read more of the stories and books. Maybe make up some more "topic cards." Those go over very well.
And the teens always love "happys and crappys!"
I think it would be great to attend one of the Alateen conventions with SCAC in the future with some of the teens. Maybe take a road trip (and get parent permission slips signed first.) Or just El Capitan next year would be great....
Lastly, I think assigning service positions to the teens would be good. Amber and I tried to assign a treasurer, etc. but it didn't really work out. Our treasurer hasn't come back for awhile!!! Ha ha!
Anyway, that's all I can think of re the Daniel Bryant Alateen Meeting.

Parking is available across the street in City Parking Lot 5 or behind the Center in City Parking Lot 4. 75 Minutes free parking in City lots.
- This meeting has wheelchair access. Access is from the back of the building, off City Parking Lot 4. There is an elevator in the back. Press the button for service to the second floor.
